To conclude its 25th anniversary season, the Boyertown Area Choral Association will offer a free Christmas concert on Sunday, December 6th. The concert will be held at 3 p.m. at The Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, located at 35 W. Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown.
The choir will perform a variety of classic and contemporary carols. The well-known “Ding! Dong! Merrily on High” sparkles with good cheer with the lively 4-hand piano accompaniment. The spiritual “Wake the World with Joy!” pairs a new melody with the traditional “Go Tell It On the Mountain” to create a fabulous number filled with hope. Popular contemporary holiday ballads like “Where are You, Christmas?” (recorded by Faith Hill) and “Breath of Heaven” gently focus on the love felt at this special time of year.
The chorus is directed by Boyertown alumni Donna M. House and Donna Jean Marshall. Audience members are invited to join choir members at a cookie reception immediately following the performance.
