Pedestrian struck in Richmond Twp. hit & run early Sunday

A pedestrian was struck by car in Richmond Township early Sunday morning.

Fleetwood Borough Police Chief Steven Stinsky reports in a release that just before 2 a.m. on Nov. 17, Eddie Carrero, Reading, was struck by a silver car driving westbound on Park Road in the area of Wolfe Court.

“The pedestrian suffered cuts and abrasions and advised of general pain,” reports Stinsky.

Carrero was transported by Fleetwood EMS for treatment and evaluation.


According to the police release, by researching the parts numbers from the passenger side mirror recovered at the scene, the vehicle involved was a 2002 to 2005 Audi A4.

Fleetwood Police ask residents to call if they see a vehicle of this model with damage or missing passenger side mirror. Contact Fleetwood Police at 610-944-7011 and refer to case number 83 13 02707. Report anonymously to Crime Alert Berks County at 877-373-9913 through which any information leading to a successful prosecution could lead to a cash reward.
