Children recently lined up along Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown to see and speak with Santa Claus.

Boyertown’s annual Chillin on Main event was held on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Building a Better Boyertown (the BBB) invited the community to come out and get their free photo with Santa right on the main strip of town. There was numerous games, interactive activities, Santa’s workshop, story time and lots of characters to be found throughout the crowd.

The downtown celebration filled the street from Reading Avenue to Chestnut Street. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived via a Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Company fire engine with Boyertown cheerleaders and twirlers alongside them.

Local Boy Scouts were at the event preparing wreaths as the Salvation Army provided hot chocolate to visitors.
