Theft from Boyer’s Food Market Pennsylvania State Police report that the accused Caylin Odeair, 23, of Bernville, took $100 out of the cash register of the Boyer’s Food Market, 7166 Bernville Road, Jefferson Township, on Nov. 24 between 1:47 and 1:55 p.m. Charges will be filed at District Court.

Theft from garage in Shoemakersville

Pennsylvania State Police report that unknown actor(s) entered the unlocked garage located in the 400 block of Main Street, Shoemakersville, between Nov. 30 and Dec. 7. The actor(s) removed the victim’s bike and fled in an unknown direction. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police Hamburg station at 610-562-6885.

Two vehicle hit and run on I-78

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a two vehicle hit and run that occurred on I-78 westbound near mile marker 14.3 in Bethel Township on Dec. 5 at 4:24 p.m. Police report that Timothy A. Tietsworth, 43, of Hegins, was operating at 2008 Mitsubishi Fuso Truck in the left land on I-78 and a white Ford F series pickup with a white cap and silver plated 10 foot trailer driven by Jeffrey K. Overdorff, 45, of Armagh, approached alongside Tietsworth. Overdorff became verbally abusive and threw an empty cup toward Tietsworth’s vehicle. The trailing unit of Overdorff’s vehicle moved toward Tietsworth’s truck and struck the right side. Tietsworth’s vehicle was pushed to the left and scraped the center concrete barrier. The left side mirror was damaged from striking a mile marker sign.

Tietsworth pulled over and Overdorff continued without stopping.

A Misdemeanor 3rd degree charge of Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle or Property and Summary charges of Overtaking Vehicle on the Right, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic, Depositing Waste and Other Material on Highway, Property or Water, Careless Driving and Duty to Give Information and Render Aid will be filed against Overdorff with District Court, Bernville.

Tietsworth was seat belted and had a minor glass laceration. His passenger, Robert A Belack, 51, of Gratz, was also seat belted and had no injury. The vehicle had minor right and left side damage. Overdorff and his passenger Bradyn Colson, 21, of Armagh, were both seat belted and had no injuries.

Hunter trespasses on property in Shoemakersville

Pennsylvania State Police report that Aaron Russell Boyer III, of Bernville, trespassed by foot onto the property of Scott Sandridge, of Shoemakersville, in the 100 block of Woodland Terrace in Tilden Township on Dec. 7 at 6:43 a.m. for the purposes of hunting. The property is properly posted against trespassing. Sandridge, who leases the property from the original owner for the hunting season had not given Boyer written or verbal permission to hunt on the property. Summary charges of Criminal Trespass were filed at District Court.
