Hamburg man in burn unit after fire at Wolfe Dye and Bleach Works Inc.

A Hamburg man is currently in the Lehigh Valley Hospital burn unit with burn related injuries following a fire at Wolfe Dye and Bleach Works Inc. in Shoemakersville.

The Pennsylvania State Police investigated the report of a fire that started at Wolfe Dye and Bleach Works Inc., 25 Ridge Road in Perry Twp. on Dec. 21 at 1:05 p.m. Robert Geisinger, 47, of Hamburg, an employee, was working when the building caught fire from an unknown source. Geisinger fled the building and was located by a passerby along Route 61. He was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital burn unit with burn related injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police Reading at 610-378-4011 and ask for Trooper Herb.

The investigation is continuing.

The police are requesting the driver who stopped to assist Geisinger to contact Trooper Herb at the above phone number.
