Diakon Adoption & Foster Care’s Northeastern Pennsylvania office, Topton, recently received $1,000 through Wells Fargo’s Community Partners Program.

Wells Fargo local managers selected 49 nonprofits across central Pennsylvania to receive the unsolicited grants of $1,000 each. In all, the bank awarded nearly $300,000 in grants to non-profit organizations and schools in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The grant will be used toward programming that supports successful placements of waiting children with foster and adoptive families, says Kathy Roach, director of the Topton office of Diakon Adoption & Foster Care. “We—and our families—deeply appreciate the bank’s support,” she says.

“We are pleased to support these organizations that are delivering much-needed services in a stellar fashion to our local communities,” says Kelly Smith, community bank area president for Central Pennsylvania.
