WASHINGTON TWP. – A Bechtelsville man was charged with indecent assault after the mother of a victim went to police.

Glenn Brancaleoni, 47, allegedly had inappropriate contact with a 5-year-old girl while she was sleeping at his house on Jan. 12, police said.

According to a witness statement, Brancaleoni allegedly admitted to touching the girl when he was confronted.

During an interview with Pennsylvania State Police, Brancaleoni allegedly admitted to moving beds to be next to the victim and then touching her, police said.

Brancaleoni said he was aware that it was wrong to touch the victim, according to police.

He was charged with two felony counts of aggravated indecent assault, one felony count of corruption of minors, and one misdemeanor charge, according to court paperwork.

On Jan. 12, he was arraigned by District Judge Gloria W. Stitzel, who set his bail at $50,000.

Brancaleoni is expected in front of District Judge Michael G. Hartman on Jan. 22 at 1:30 p.m.
