Murder of Pike Township woman remains under investigation

The investigation continues for the person or persons responsible for the murder of Pike Township woman.

Berks County District Attorney John Adams has confirmed that Louisa T. Krenzel, 48, was found murdered by gunshot wounds on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Krezels body was found at her home, 530 Long Lane, near Lobachsville in Pike Township, Berks County.

As of Monday, Jan. 27, the case remains under investigation. The investigation is being led by the Pennsylvania State Police with assistance from the Berks County District Attorneys Office.

Adams stated that the results of autopsy confirm the cause of death to be gunshot wounds which indicates a homicide.


Anyone with information regarding the incident or that may have seen anything unusual the evening of Jan. 22 is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police or Crime Alert Berks County at (877) 373-9913.
