Poinsettias sale raises money for Boone students

The MOMS Club of Douglassville East conducted a Holiday Poinsettia Sale in November through Glick’s Greenhouse in Oley, Pa. to offer their famous poinsettias. They advertised within their club, to the Daniel Boone elementary schools and in the local community. They offered 10 varied types of poinsettias. The fundraiser was an incredible success and the MOMS Club was able to generously donate $1,030 to the Blazer Foundation from their fundraiser. Their donation will go towards future programs for the students of the Daniel Boone School District. “The MOMS Club of Douglassville has always been a dominate presence in our Daniel Boone school district and they are always one of the first groups to step up and help lend their support to the children of the local community. The Blazer Foundation is deeply appreciative of their donation.”

In other Blazer Foundation news, the Blazer Foundation received a $500 donation from the Daniel Boone Education Association. In January 2014, the Blazer Foundation donated $1,025 to the Daniel Boone Middle School Technology Student Association, $790 to the Daniel Boone High School Green Team, and $200 to the Daniel Boone National Honor Society. The Blazer Foundation continues to work with all the schools in the district to provide funding for innovative and creative programs to benefit the students.
