Hamburg area resident attend EF Foundation for Foreign Study annual conference

Local resident, Sheryle Delewski, attended EF Foundation for Foreign Study’s annual conference on Jan. 24 - 26 in New Orleans. Recognized for program leadership, Delewski, an International Exchange Coordinator for EF Foundation, joined more than 600 colleagues from across the country at the three-day event. She attended workshops and informational sessions designed to enhance professional development and support efforts to keep high school foreign exchange alive and healthy in the U.S.

The U.S. remains the top destination for international students who wish to study abroad. As an International Exchange Coordinator, Delewski is responsible for placing high school students from around the world with caring host families and securing placement in local high schools throughout Berks County.

“The EF Foundation annual conference was exciting and informative,” said Delewski. “It was a great opportunity to meet with my colleagues and learn about new ways to ensure the highest-quality foreign exchange experience for our students, host families and schools. I am excited to put into action all that I have learned.”

EF Foundation is currently looking for families willing to open their homes and host a foreign exchange high school student for the 2014-2015 school year. For more information on the program and how you can get involved, contact Sheryle Delewski at 610-562-8801 or SDelewski@verizon.net.
