The purpose of this event is to raise money to establish an educational trust fund to generate yearly grants for students K-12. Students enrolled in the Hamburg Area School District will be given support to pursue their interests that allow them to advance academically, creatively and personally. Your support as one of our official sponsors is welcomed and will be greatly appreciated.

The Hamburg Area Education Foundation is an independent non-profit organization developed to cultivate opportunities to advance scholarly, creative and personal excellence in the Hamburg Area School District, and has been organized to accept and administer financial gifts or tax-deductible contributions. The goal of the foundation is to enhance educational opportunities for all students, encourage and support innovative educators, build a community involvement through a wide range of educational initiatives, and to strengthen the commitment of alumni support in academic programs. A board of directors composed of local citizens representing businesses, families and the Hamburg Area community assures that gifts and contributions will be directed to enhancing the school districts educational programs.

The foundation will provide awards for programs and purposes that do no fall under district and state financial obligations. These awards are typically based on a competitive proposal process. Some programs of the foundation include student scholarships and grants for individual academic endeavors, teacher grants to support innovative educational projects and professional development, educators and artists in residence and community-based educational programs throughout the Hamburg Area School District.
