Berks County police departments to conduct Aggressive-Driving Enforcement

Berks County Aggressive Driving Departments today announced aggressive-driving enforcement activities as part of a statewide wave from March 24 to May 4th. Pennsylvania State Police Troop L and municipal police from Amity, Bern Township, Boyertown, Central Berks, Colebrookdale, Douglass, Exeter, Fleetwood, Hamburg, Muhlenberg, Northern Berks, Reading, Robeson, Sinking Spring, Spring, Tulpehocken, West Reading, and Wyomissing will be joining over 330 municipal police agencies and the Pennsylvania State Police to reduce the number of Aggressive Driving related crashes, injuries and deaths on 435 roadways throughout the State.

The law enforcement activities will be conducted from March 24th through May 4th on those roadways identified as having aggressive driving crashes and speeding citations.

The focus for this 6 week enforcement Wave will be on Distracted Driving, Speeding and Work Zone Safety. Motorists exhibiting other unsafe driving behaviors such as; driving too fast for conditions, following too closely, careless driving, red light running and any other aggressive driving actions will be stopped and cited.
