Spring is the perfect time to focus on a new you.

Three businesses at the corner of Route 100 and Grosser Road in Gilbertsville are teaming up for a Spring Open House celebration that is designed to help the body, mind, and soul. Unique Physique for Life Personal Training Studio, Inner Light Holistic Center, and the Massage & Bodywork Centers plan to offer a wealth of information, demos, and mini services. The Spring Open House kicks off at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 1000 Grosser Road in Gilbertsville in the building adjacent to the Valero gas station.

Unique Physique for Life (UPL), a private personal fitness training studio, is owned and operated by Jessica Rapp. The fitness studio focuses greatly on TRX Suspension Training and offers state-of-the-art training equipment for private training as well as a variety of group fitness classes. During the Spring Open House, Rapp will offer visitors a complimentary Personal Fitness Analysis, fun and energetic TRX Suspension demonstrations, and nutrition tips for all ages. She is also running a mini seminar entitled Strengthen Body & Energy Follows at 1 p.m. Visitors are invited to come up to the UPL training studio throughout the day to check out the TRX equipment for themselves.

Also during the open house, Inner Light Holistic Center will be offering group readings, meditations, aromatherapy, channelled attunements, mini-readings, and life coaching, as well as refreshments. Offerings throughout the day taking place at the Inner Light Center hosted by Cristina Leeson include: Healing Attunements by Beth Feger, Aromatherapy with Lucey Harley, Mini readings with Maja Taylor, Reiki Sessions by Karen Johns, and Hypnosis discussions with Julie Ziegler. The Massage & Bodywork Centers, hosted by Dorothy Paschall, will offer massage by Heather LMT ($20 for 20 minutes) and reflexology by Maggie ($20 for 20 minutes).

The lecture programming during the Spring Open House is as follows:

10 a.m. – Reflexology Talk – Maggie Mirenda

11 a.m. – Group Gallery Reading (Free!) – Cristina Leeson

12 noon – Quantum Group Healing session – Dorothy Paschall ($10.00)

12:30 p.m. – Guided Meditation – Julie Ziegler

1:00 p.m. – Strengthen Body & Energy Follows – Jessica Rapp

Unique Physique for Life’s core philosophy is that the body changes when the mind changes, and real changes deliver real results. The fitness offerings at UPL encompass strength and endurance, balance and coordination, flexibility and posture, weight loss, nutrition counseling, and more. UPL also offers Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) Stretching, which helps to improve workouts as well as flexibility, reducing the chance of injury. These fitness programs integrate well with massage therapy, which can help people to bring balance back to the body following intense workouts while also helping them to recover more efficiently following physical activity. Of course, the mental and spiritual aspects can be just as important as the physical ones.

‘It is so nice to have a local center like this one where anyone can come for body, mind, and spirit healing and strength,’ Rapp says. ‘The center’s businesses truly complement each other, working toward a common goal in helping people to achieve overall wellness.’
