Chestnut Knoll to hold dementia seminar

Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care is pleased to invite the public to a free seminar on “Understanding and Treating Multiple Types of Dementia,” presented by Dr. John Timko, on Monday, April 14, from 6:30–8 p.m.

John Timko, M.D., a local psychiatrist and medical director of The Willows Program at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, will discuss symptoms and treatment of multiple types of dementia including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Parkinson’s disease. A question and answer session will follow his presentation.

Dr. Timko is a partner at DGR Behavioral Health Services in Wyomissing, Pa., and a specialist in geriatric psychology. He has been associated with The Willows Program’s inpatient and outpatient geriatric psychology services for 15 years.
