Recently 20 members of the Fleetwood Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America attended the 2014 State Leadership Conference held in Hershey.

At the SLC the Fleetwood Chapter was recognized as an Outstanding Chapter for the 2013 14 school year. This award, in which the chapter received 10th place, is known as the William Selden Outstanding Chapter Award. To receive this distinction, the chapter must complete many activities aimed at the goals of the Future Business Leaders of America and submit all of the corresponding paperwork to the state office. Only 10 chapters, out of the more than 250 chapters across the state, receive this distinction. The chapter also received 3rd place for their Local Chapter Annual Business Report.

In addition to the chapter recognition, individuals and teams from the Fleetwood Chapter received recognition for their accomplishments in specific competitive events. They are the team of Kaelin Fedora and Amanda Licht, 4th place for their Partnership with Business Project; Makayla Noll, Kayln Hess and Eric Wily, 5th place for their American Enterprise Project; Gabe Kotsch, Amanda Kaskey and Chris Russo, 5th place for their Community Service Project; and Brandon Stitzel, Madisyn Garcia and Tara Wily, 9th place in Management Information Systems.
