The third grade students of Tilden Elementary held their annual Junk Fair on April 22. The junk fair is one way to celebrate Earth Day. Students were asked to design and make a project using all recyclable materials. Students used soda cans, cardboard, and plastic bottles to make bird feeders, piggy banks, robots and wind chimes. Parents and students from other grade levels were invited to see all of the creations. Not only did the students have fun making their projects, but they also learned to reuse and recycle.
