Calling all entrepreneurs, the Berks-Mont Business Association is hosting its 49th Annual Sidewalk Expo on Tuesday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a rain date scheduled for Thursday, June 12.

Join more than 100 vendors on East Philadelphia Avenue between Franklin Street and Reading Avenue for a day of networking, entertainment, food and fun for the whole family.

The exhibitors booths will be set up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on East Philadelphia Avenue. Make sure you stay for the long anticipated Boyertown Idol finals to begin at 6 p.m. in front of Ritas Water Ice. This is the 5th year for the Boyertown Idol Karaoke contest. Competing will be the 12 finalists and the winner will be awarded a $500.00 grand prize. Six try-out dates are held prior to the event. Check out for the try-out dates and times.

Here is your chance to meet potential new clients for networking opportunities while enjoying a day full of entertainment, food, give-aways, DJ, ventriloquist, Jerry monkey man Brown, petting zoo and prizes. This years raffle grand prize will be $400, so make sure you purchase your tickets early at the BMBA tent.

New this year, the Colebrookdale Railroad Preservation Trust (CRPT) will be selling raffle tickets for a trip down the Secret Valley Line (at a later date), as well as tee shirts and railroad souvenirs. The CRPT will have a crew of volunteers allowing people to board the engine and caboose and will share with them the history of those pieces and the railroad. Look for volunteer sign up forms at the event too.

Returning this year to the sidewalk expo is the Reading Fightin Phils Screwball and the Reading Royals Slap Shot. So bring the whole family for a day of entertainment for children and adults, in your favorite historic downtown.
