Hamburg motorcyclist in fatal accident on Route 662 Sunday

A fatal motorcycle accident happened in the 1800 block of Moselem Spring Rd. in Richmond Twp. on Sunday, May 11, at 9:52 p.m. according to Fleetwood Police Department.

Steven M. Rosenberger, 53, of Hamburg, was transported to Reading Hospital Medical Center following the crash where he later succumbed to his injuries.

According to Fleetwood Police Department, Rosenberger was traveling northbound on Moselem Spring Rd. (also known as Route 662) on a motorcycle. For an unknown reason, Rosenberger traveled across the southbound lane onto the gravel shoulder and lost control of the motorcycle. As he lost control, he also hit a road sign. Fleetwood Ambulance transported Rosenberger to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Fleetwood Police Department is looking for any information on a black or dark colored vehicle that was traveling on Moselem Spring Rd. around 9:52 p.m. on May 11 traveling southbound toward Route 222.
