Fleetwood Girl Scout Daisy Troop 1793 enjoyed a meeting with Mr. Geschwindt, father of one of the troop members. He is a Certified RN Anesthetist. He helped the troop complete requirements for the Daisy Safety Pin by sharing valuable information regarding choking and how to help someone if they are choking.

The girls learned the universal choking sign and practiced how to do it to themselves. He talked about the Heimlich and was assisted by his daughter who is a Junior Girl Scout, as he demonstrated how to do it to another person. He also talked about calling 911 and Fire Safety Practices (Stop, Drop and Roll).
