Students of Governor Mifflin High School’s Money & Banking class recently completed their annual stock market game simulation. The Stock Market Game is an online lesson/competition that ranks students and classes within a region and an annual lesson that is used by Katie Broskey, a business teacher in the school.

Governor Mifflin students were directly competing against other teams in the state of Pennsylvania, both regionally and statewide. Regionally, they competed against Cocalico, Mt. Calvary Christian School, Northern Lebanon and Manheim Township. There were 57 teams in the region and 2,931 teams in the state.

This year, Governor Mifflin had six teams place among the top 25 teams in our region. The top-ranked team (Colin McKnight and Austin Peters), finished with a ranking of 4/57 in our region and 302/2,931 in the state. The students are extremely proud of their hard work.

The students who placed in the top 25 teams in our region are:

4/57 Colin McKnight and Austin Peters (three percent return on investments)

12/57 Shailyn Ramirez and Kristina Gockley

13/57 Steve Ruhe and Brigitte Gleason

15/57 Tyler Rodolff and Hunter Phillips

20/57 Anthony Hartenstine and Owen Hanna

24/57 Emily Seaman-Brennan and Alyssa Centeno
