The horses of Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines in Warwick Township announce the arrival of their favorite time of the year and cordially invite you to join them for Family Fun Day on June 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Do horses really have a favorite time of the year you may ask? Well, it is the season to graze on beautiful green grass that tastes delicious to a horse while basking in the soothing warm sunshine and fresh clean air. However, most of all they enjoy this time of year because of the return of many of the visitors after the cold winter weather. We won’t even mention that they dream about all the human hands with carrots and horse treats extending towards them and all the happy kids admiring their magnificence.
Family Fun Day at Ryerss Farm will be the most enjoyable time for the equines because they love visits from you. What better way to celebrate spring and the return of the good weather than to go on a pony or hay ride after you buy dad something in the gift shop for Father’s Day or come out of the moon bounce. There will also be food available to eat in the picnic grove if the fun of making crafts gives you an appetite. Learn how you can sponsor your favorite horse and how to groom a grateful equine looking for human friends. If horses are too big and scary for you, then check out the mini horses and donkey.
You will definitely know what heaven is like if you come to this bucolic spot where retired, abused and neglected horses spend the rest of their lives free of work and worry.
Rain date for Family Fun Day is Sunday June 15.
Family Fun Day will benefit their 80 retired and rescued horses. Held on the beautiful grounds of Ryerss Farm, there will be hay rides, pony rides, a moon bounce, crafts to make and games to try. Our gift shop will be open with gifts for horse lovers of all ages. Admission to farm is free but tickets sold for Fun Day activities 1 to 4 p.m. (farm open 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for visitors). Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines is located at 1710 Ridge Road (Rt.23), Pottstown.
