State Police report burglary, assault & DUI in Rockland, Maxatawny, Lyons

Burglary in Rockland TownshipPennsylvania State Police report that on May 30, unknown suspect(s) burglarized a residence on Mellon School Lane in Rockland Twp. between the hours of 1:30 and 4:15 p.m. The suspect(s) took several firearms and computer items. The suspect(s) then fled in an unknown direction. Anyone with information regarding this incident, please contact PSP Reading Barracks at 610-378-4011 for Tpr. Assault in FleetwoodPennsylvania State Police report that during a domestic argument on May 30 the accused, a 40-year-old Fleetwood man, assaulted another 40-year-old Fleetwood man at 6:06 p.m. in the 3000 block of Pricetown Rd. in Alsace Twp. The accused will be cited for harassment at District Court 23-3-03.

Access device fraud in LyonsPennsylvania State Police report that unknown suspect(s) committed access device fraud at Southwest Railroad St. in Lyons. Having obtained the Wells Fargo Visa account number of the victim, a 47-year-old Lyons man, the actor(s) made 17 fraudulent purchases totaling over $3,000 between March 3 and May 27. The incident remains open pending further investigation.

Speeding under influence in Maxatawny

Pennsylvania State Police report that at 1:41 p.m. on May 30 the accused, a 34-year-old Fleetwood man, was clocked via radar at 86 mph in a properly posted 65 mph zone about one mile north of Route 737 in Manxatawny Twp. traveling northbound on Route 222. A traffic stop was initiated and during the subsequent interview, the accused was found to be under the influence of marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for a legal blood draw. Charges are pending in District Court 23-3-04.

DUIPennsylvania State Police report that on May 30 at 8:45 p.m. the accused, a 29-year-old female from West Reading, was observed failing to signal a lane change to the left turn only lane on Penn Ave. and then while making the left hand turn onto S. 5th Ave. A check of the registered owner’s driver’s license revealed that it was currently suspended. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and incapable of safely operating a vehicle. She was taken to the Berks County DUI Center for a legal blood draw. DUI charges are pending in District Court 23-2-02.
