Berks County Heritage Center: The History and Stories of Mt. Penn and Neversink Mountain June 15

The Berks County Parks and Recreation will host a program about The History and Stories of Mt. Penn and Neversink Mountain 2 p.m. Sunday, June 15 at the Berks County Heritage Center. Two local writers will share illustrated lectures on the hills surrounding Reading. Corrie Crupi will discuss Mt. Penn and the Pagoda, and the former Tower Hotel and Gravity Railroad, while Paul A. Druzba, author of ‘Neversink: Reading’s Other Mountain,’ offers information and photos on the history of the mountain from 1880-1930 and the former Neversink Mountain Railroad.
