Fleetwood Police: motorcyclist injured in crash, burglary at residence

Motorcyclist injured in crashThe Fleetwood Police Dept. reports that they were dispatched to a motorcycle crash at Moselem Spring Rd. (State Route 662) and Hard Hill Rd. (SR 143) on Monday, June 9 at 9:55 p.m. A motorcycle driven by Steven Carl Jr. was traveling northbound on SR 662 when, while attempting to make a right-hand turn onto SR 143, he sideswiped a vehicle driven by a male juvenile stopped at the stop sign. The helmetless Carl Jr. was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to Reading Hospital Medical Center by Fleetwood Ambulance.

Burglary at residenceThe Fleetwood Police Dept. reports that they were dispatched to a residence on Hard Hill Rd. in reference to a burglary recently discovered. Upon arrival, the officers were informed that the suspect gained entry by forcing his way through the front door of the residence. The suspect in question is a Hispanic male in his mid-30s with dark brown, buzz-cut hair and a thin mustache. He was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt and jeans. The suspect has a red tattoo on the right side of his neck approximately two inches in diameter, a thin build and an estimated height of 5-foot-9. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Fleetwood Police Department or Crime Alert Berks County and refer to case number 83-14-01501.
