‘Capture The Moment’ digital photography for tweens and teens

Who says the digital world has to take away from the world of nature? Bring the two together by bringing your electronic device (iPod, mp3 device, tablet, or smart phone) to the Berks County Heritage Center on Tuesday, June 24, from 6:30 until 8 p.m. to learn how to shoot great outdoor photos with these devices!

The evening begins with a brief instructional slide presentation on digital photography basics by Valerie Hoffman, professional photographer and instructor. After the presentation, Valerie will help participants capture amazing moments on camera as they explore nature in the parks. At the end of the night if participants are interested, they can learn creative ways to edit and enhance their images with design software.

The end results will be shared online in our ‘Capture the Moment’ photo contest on the Berks County Parks and Recreation Facebook page for all to see!

This unique event is geared towards strictly tweens and teens, though a Nature Photography workshop for more serious photographers and all ages will be offered in July. This event is free, and the rain date is Thursday, June 26.
