Zion’s Lutheran Church, Shoemakersville

Zion’s of Shoemakersville Vacation Bible School will begin on June 23 and end June 27. Salem Belleman’s Church

On Sunday, June 15, Salem Belleman’s Church, 3540 Belleman’s Church Road, Mohrsville, celebrated Trinity Sunday at the regular Worship times of 7:45 and 10:15 a.m. The musician for the early service was Michele Dietrich while Linda Hartman, The Director of Music Ministry, played for the second service. The scripture readings for the services were Genesis 1:1-2:4, 2 Corinthians 13:11-13 and Matthew 28:16-20.

Vacation Bible School is coming to Belleman’s from Monday, June 23 thru Friday, June 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Workshop of Wonders.” All youth are invited to attend!

They meet at our church facility from 6-7:30 p.m. The Pathfinders are for ages 9-18 and they meet at the Blue Mt. SDA Elementary School from 6:30-8 p.m. The Pathfinder Club is preparing for a World Wide Camporee in Oshkosh Wisconsin to take place in August of this year. This major event takes place once every 5 years. Many, many different countries will be represented.

VEGAN CLUB: For all who may be interested in a vegan or partial vegan lifestyle. Takes place the third Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. All are welcome.

St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran “Smoke” Church

The first hour will be training and then we will have a meet-n-greet with the Bear Creek Day Camp counselors. We will have a picnic type dinner and some fun and games. Adults bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Morgan P. Gehret, daugher of Nichole (Burkert) Gehret and Mark Gehret born on December 18, 2013 in Philadelphia at the Children’s Hospital, will be baptized today during the service.

Set Free Day Camp: Monday, June 23-Friday, June 27, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for children who have completed Kindergarten – Grade 6. An action packed week-long event of crafts, games, singing, snacks, swimming, and fun activities designed to get children excited about living a life for Christ. Bring a packed lunch and a willingness to have fun! There is a cost (checks made payable to St. John’s Lutheran Church). Sunday School for youth and adults over the Summer is 10:15 a.m. every Sunday. The Adult Classes study the Gospel of John and The Lutheran Handbook. The Youth are studying “Made To Make A Difference.”

The youth are using this theme for their service event July 6-11. This is open to all churches who Celebrate Christ as Lord and Savior. It is a life-changing week of discipleship, adventure and mission for high school and college youth. We will be exploring what it truly means to live a Disciple’s life – a life found in passionately following Jesus Christ. Some of the elements of the week will include:

• Mission projects in the surrounding area of Hamburg (Reading)

• Breakout sessions on Biblical topics relevant to youth

• Christ-centered worship and passionate Biblical teaching
