Drugs, child predators and destructive media messages are but a few of the concerns facing parents today. Add to that being super busy and being a parent can seem overwhelming. Grace EC Church in Kutztown has launched the GROW children’s ministry to help families know that God is concerned too and ready to help.

GROW utilizing the popular ‘Orange’ curriculum is a high energy, unapologetically Bible-focused curriculum for children ages 3 to 5th grade on Sunday mornings.

‘This is not your average Sunday School,’ says Lead Pastor Adam Roberts, ‘It’s engaging, multi-media, and activity centered.’

While Grow is indeed multi-media, offering articles, smart phone apps, facebook, twitter, email and website updates, it is all about partnership.

‘Grow is crafted from our desire to partner with parents in the spiritual development of their child,’ states new Family Pastor, Jon Ramberg. ‘We recognize that one size does not fit every child or family. Grow gives parents resources to continue the message at home and the tools for parents to be able to have spiritual conversations with their children.’

In summary, ‘We are very pro-family and care about the problems families face,’ Pastor Adam Roberts adds, ‘and by ‘family’ we are not talking about Ward and June Cleaver! Families today often look different than they did 50 years ago.’

They also have different concerns, among them safety.

To upgrade child safety, Grace Church now requires teachers to have background checks and has initiated a secure child check in system as well as a ‘watch care’ security team to make sure kids are safe.

June 23 to 27, GROW expands to Vacation Bible School and is open to all children ages 3 to 5th grade; all are welcome. For more information and to register visit www.gracekutztown.org or call Grace ECC at 610-683-3340.
