Harrisburg -State Sen. Bob Mensch (R-24) is pleased to announce that his bill, SB 1337, has passed the Senate.

The Legislative Budget and Finance Committee is a Senate/House panel that conducts studies and makes recommendations aimed at eliminating unnecessary expenditures, among other tasks. ‘I was surprised to learn upon becoming chairman that several of the committee’s own projects represent unnecessary expenses,’ said Mensch. ‘We needed to address this issue immediately.’ SB 1337 seeks to remove certain recurring projects from the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (LBFC) to allow personnel to work on new studies.

The bill was approved by the Senate (47-1) and sent to the House for full consideration.
