A Boyertown graduate’s company is now stepping up and reaching out.

Kevin Ostromecki, founder of Altix Clothing, has launched a fashion awareness campaign which he calls the Global Impact Project. Basically: a pair of shoes will come with a card displaying instructions to take a photo of themselves while wearing their newly acquired Hero Shoes. The photo should be sent to Altix Clothing and will be placed on an interactive world map located online at altixclothing.com. This project has been designed to change the world.

Ostromecki wants people to take a picture of themselves “doing something awesome,” while just being themselves. “We’re all the same,” he said, expressing his belief in the next phase of unity.

Altix Clothing was launched in January of 2013, featuring shoes which are custom designed by Ostromecki. This project entails new stock-printed Hero Shoes, and to make this possible, he needs the money to manufacture them.

“It’s an anxious time,” he said. Through indiegogo.com, Altix Clothing has set up a campaign page with a set goal of $8,000 and a July 22 deadline. He has been working on the project for the past five to six months.

“The campaign purpose is to demonstrate hope and unity,” said Ostromecki, explaining that the online map system will track the spread of the company’s message and pin-point progress. He is hoping to unify the world through fashion and technology.

Going global is nothing new for Ostromecki, whose company which already gives a portion of its profits to the The Potter’s House Organization of Guatemala.

Also, back in December of 2013, Ostromecki was approached by the Jewish Federation of Philadelphia/Reading to design a piece to be brought to Israel and displayed in the Abraham Lincoln House of Israel.

He hopes everyone will participate and help spread the word in an effort to demonstrate unification. Those interested can check out indiegogo.com/projects/altix-clothing-classic-heroshoes for more details.
