Now is a great time to bargain shop for items for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. Do not buy tooth paste as children in foreign countries often do not know what to do with it, and sometimes eat it as candy. Any toothpaste which we have will be donated to the food pantry. Helen James has wrapped twelve shoe boxes so far. Please continue to donate shoe boxes. When you buy new shoes for school, ask if the store has any extra they could donate. Many are glad to give boxes to churches. Thank you for the many items you have given so far.

There is still time to sign up for summer camp. Brochures are in the back of the sanctuary, and campers may qualify for help from the church when they sign up. See Mary Yoder if you have questions.

The Lay Academy is scheduled for Aug. 8-9 at The Inn at Reading. Sign-up may be done on line. Our goal this year is to have more than 300 participants for this marvelous training program. Contact Karen Kershner if you need transportation.
