Zionís Lutheran Church of Shoemakersville will hold their 7th annual Peach festival on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Music will be provided by the Jalappa All-Stars. All proceeds will be donated to the Northern Berks Community Garden.

On Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m., we have Momentum Youth in the TBC Youth Room for students entering 7th through 12th grade. We also host 56 Club for all students entering 5th-6th grade in the fall. Our adult connect classes and childrenís programs will resume on Wednesday nights in September.

Salem Bellemanís Church
On Sunday, July 13, Salem Bellemanís Church, 3540 Bellemanís Church Road, Mohrsville, celebrated the Fifth Sunday after Pentecost at the regular worship times of 7:45 and 10:15 a.m. Linda Hartman, The Director of Music Ministry, played for both services. The scripture readings for the services were Isaiah 55:10-13 and Romans 8:1-11 which were read by Gloria Gambler at the early service and by 4H Members at the late service. Also, the Gospel reading was from Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23.
Bellemanís annual Sunday School Picnic will be held on Aug. 2 when the refreshment stand opens at 3 p.m. There will be entertainment by the Bellemanís Orchestra and The Jalappa All Stars. All are welcome!

New classes are being formed for this Fall. Pastor Bill will have a study based on his latest work toward his ordination. He will also have a Confirmation class. If you are interested in either class, please contact the Pastor.
We are always looking for members to step up into leadership positions in the church. If you see a need which you think you can help with, tell the Pastor. New faces and fresh ideas help us grow as a congregation.

A craft group will be meeting on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 6:30 p.m. to make new bookmarks for the pew hymnals. All materials are provided, so you only need to bring yourself. It should take about an hour. Come join the fun-there will be refreshments.

SDA Elementary School from 6:30-8 p.m. The Pathfinder Club is preparing for a World Wide Camporee in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to take place in August of this year. This major event takes place once every 5 years. Many, different countries will be represented.
VEGAN CLUB: For all who may be interested in a vegan or partial vegan lifestyle. Takes place the third Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. All are welcome.

The altar flowers were presented in honor of Kay Evans by Janice and Bob Evans. The Mission Trip will be at the Jersey Shore to help clean up from Hurricane Sandy from July 13-19. The outdoor service and picnic will be held at the Penn Township Building on July 20 at 10 p.m. There will be a Rehersburg Band Concert at Altalaha Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. on July 19.

The altar flowers were presented in honor of the wedding anniversary of Amy and Lance Sterner by Josiah, Kendall, Mom and Dad B, Kelley, Barry, Brayden, and Emily. The Guild Annual Banquet will be held at Risserís Restaurant on July 29 at 6 p.m. The reservations and money is to be sent to Nancy Lynn by July 20. The worship service was devoted to reports and testimonies on the Mission Trip to Indianapolis, Indiana. Bernville Community Days will be held in Umbenhauer Park on July 26 beginning at 4 p.m. There will be music by the Dixieland Band, the Rajah Concert Band and DJ Yatch, games, a silent auction, used book sale, candy sale, Boyerís basket walk, baking contest, and plenty of good food. Weather permitting, there will be fireworks after dusk.
