Exeter Township Police were joined by the Pennsylvania State Police and over 330 municipal agencies to conduct targeted aggressive-driving enforcement Wednesday, July 16 during the busy morning commute on Route 422.
Officers and Troopers made in excess of 75 contacts and issued over 85 aggressive- driving related citations during the enforcement period. The enforcement wave focused on red light running, tailgating and speeding. Motorists exhibiting other unsafe behaviors such as driving too fast for conditions, following too closely, or other aggressive actions were also cited.
The enforcement was part of the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project and is funded by part of PennDOT’s $2.5 million investment of federal funds from the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
