SubmittedApplications for a permit only archery deer hunt Sept. 22 to Nov. 28 and Dec. 26 to Jan. 23 at the Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center are available at the Center Office Aug. 4 to 15. Center Office hours are weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Prospective hunters have until 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 to return their applications for the hunt. Hunters will be selected by lottery. Successful applicants will be notified by mail. Successful applicants must attend a hunter orientation on Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Nolde Center.

To apply, hunters must have a current Pennsylvania hunting license, Pennsylvania Archery stamp and Wildlife Management Unit 5C antlerless deer license.

Selected hunters will be assigned one of seven hunt periods: Sept. 23-Oct. 3 (antlerless only), Oct. 6-17, Oct. 20-31, Nov. 3-14, Nov. 17-28 (antlerless only), Dec. 26-Jan. 9, and Jan. 12-23. Ten permitted hunters a day will be allowed to hunt in open hunt areas from prevailing start time to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to prevailing closing time on weekdays. There is no hunting allowed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. There is no hunting on Nov. 27, Jan. 1 or Saturdays and Sundays.
