Perry Township invites public to monument dedication ceremony Aug. 7

Perry Township recently created a monument from the cement work that was at the entrance of the old Perry Elementary School. Residents of the Hamburg Area School District are invited to attend a dedication ceremony of the new monument.

According to the Perry Township secretary and treasurer, ‘The township recycled the cement and made this monument.’

Set for Aug. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Perry Township Municipal Building, 680 Moselem Springs Road, the ceremony will include guests and speakers Senator David Argall, Representative Jerry Knowles, Hamburg Area School District Superintendent Steven Kiefer, Perry Elementary Principal Shawn Gravish, Perry resident John Ide and Perry Township Supervisor Chairman Dean A. Adam.

Following the ceremony there will be light refreshments and drinks for everyone in attendance.
