Boy Scout Troop 163, of Shoemakersville, held their 16th annual Auto Show at the Perry Twp. Recreation Area on Aug. 10.

Participants made their way to the field down the long dirt path that made for the perfect photo op and chance to see the competition before parking. Members of the troop helped register and direct the participants to their correct spot. Once parked, the participants were able to enjoy the near perfect weather of the day in the area with many finding the spots of shade as they looked at the displayed cars, caught up with fellow participants, enjoyed music and food.

Along with the trophy display, attendees were able to take part in a silent auction, visit the concession stand including Smokey Bear BBQ and check out the bake sale. There were also door prizes.

First, second and third place in the 27 classes received trophies.

Participants, attendees and even children enjoyed the summer day helped support one of the local Boy Scout Troops.
