Oley’s Peach and Ice Cream Festival just wouldn’t be the same without the annual peach dessert contest. This year there were 23 entries in the Adult Category and eight entries in the Youth Category.
Following are the winners in each category:
Adult:1st – Linda Reinert – Snappy Peach Cheesecake
2nd – Mary-Ellen Miller – Leafy Peach Pie
3rd – Sharon Kershner – Fresh Peach Crumbcake with Vanilla Glaze
4th – Chris Elliott – Fresh Peach Cups
5th – Ron Bieber – Peach Creme Tart
Youth:1st – Ryan Moyer – Peach & Cream Stuffed Cupcakes
2nd – Leah Haas – Streusel Peach Pie
3rd – Benno Weidner – Mini Peach Pies
4th – Kyle Moyer – Upside Down Peach Cake
5th – Antoinette Marotto – Peaches & Cream Pie
Oley’s annual Peach and Ice Cream Festival was held at the Oley Fairgrounds on Saturday, Aug. 9.
A car cruise, horse shoes and an antique show were also among some of the things to check out while awaiting the live music from the Twitty Fever Band.
The event is sponsored by the Oley Fire Company.
