Man cited for failing to have dog licensed
The Hamburg Borough Police report that Jared Edward Reich, 30, from Hamburg, was cited for failing to have his dog licensed, and for failing to have the required certificates for proof of vaccinations for his dog. This stems from an incident that occurred on Wednesday, July 30, at approx. 6:07 p.m. on Broadwing Circle in Hamburg where Reich’s dog allegedly bit a 50 year-old female from Hamburg.
Loose tire causes accident on Pottsville Pike
The Hamburg Borough Police report that a reportable traffic accident occurred on Tuesday, July 8, at approx. 11:33 a.m. on Pottsville Pike near Grand Street in Hamburg. Leesa V. Cooper, 53, from the Kempton area, was traveling southbound on Pottsville Pike in the passing lane, when she observed a tire rolling towards her vehicle which had crossed the medium from the northbound traffic lanes. The tire struck the hood of her vehicle. John A. Caba, 25, from Reading, driving a red Chevrolet pick-up was traveling northbound on Pottsville Pike and was towing a white Chevrolet van with a tow dolly, when the rear driver’s side tire of the van became loose and rolled across the road. Both drivers had their seat belts on. No injuries were reported at the scene. Cooper’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
