The Labor Day heat and humidity did little to “wilt” the turnout for Kauffman’s 18th annual Antique & Custom Car Show as more than 450 entries participated and countless spectators viewed the popular event. The seemingly ever present forecast for “a chance of thunder showers” never materialized although the Northern Berks skies darkened a few times throughout the afternoon. Kauffman’s is one of the biggest car shows in our area and it is always extremely well organized and executed. This year’s edition was no exception. The event features a whopping 52 classes with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for each class. As if that’s not enough, there was also Special Interest awards for things such as Outstanding Engine, Outstanding Interior, Outstanding Paint, Club Participation and more.
All proceeds from the annual event were donated to Trinity U.C.C. Church, Rehrersburg.
