Any way you slice it, visitors can expect to have bushels of fun at the Fall Apple Festival at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Douglassville. Celebrate fall’s favorite fruit and the many delicious ways to enjoy it – from apple pancakes to apple tarts to apple dumplings, and more! The annual Fall Apple Festival will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 on the church grounds.

‘We’ll offer activities that will ‘a-peel’ to festival-goers of all ages,’ says Art Yerger, event chairperson. Families with children will find plenty of activities for kids, including pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, a moon bounce, crafts, a hay bale play area, balloon twisting, sand art, juggling, and a wide variety of children’s games.

The kitchen staff will be preparing an apple pancake and sausage breakfast, followed by a lunch that offers vegetable soup pulled pork sandwiches, hoagies, hot dogs and hamburgers. Everything is prepared fresh by our kitchen staff. ‘Arrive early to get your Apple Dumplings,’ adds Anna Brown, Kitchen Coordinator, ‘they always go quickly!’

The lineup of great entertainment includes the Boyertown Alumni German Band, the Exeter Community Band, St. Paul’s Contemporary Band, as well as a disc jockey playing music throughout the day.

The event will be held rain or shine. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is located on Route 662, just one mile north of Rt. 422, in Douglassville.

Ample parking will be available at American Crane and Precision Technologies, located across the street from the Church.
