Topton >> The Dollar General in Topton Borough was robbed on Sept. 28.
State Police Reading report that a white man entered the store, 330 W. Weis St., Topton, at about 5:26 p.m., obtained a soft drink and attempted to pay for the drink with change. As the cashier opened the drawer, the man reached in and took money. He fled the store on foot, heading in a southern direction, according to the police report.
No weapons or threats were used.
Police report that was seen at the Hess gas station in Topton immediately after committing the crime. The man exited a maroon Jeep Cherokee SUV believed to be a late 1990s model. He then continued to walk on foot away from the Hess gas station.
The suspect is described as 5 foot 5 inches tall, 160 pounds and possibly white hair. He was wearing a tan color baseball hat, white t-shirt tucked into blue jeans and white sneakers.
Police ask anyone who was at the Hess gas station in Topton at about 5:27 p.m. on Sept. 28 that can identify the suspect to contact Police at 610-378-4011.
