The calendar might have read “Autumn” but it felt more like summer at the Salem-Berne UMC 10th Annual Country Car Show when the event was held on Saturday, Sept. 27. This year’s show attracted over 70 cars, trucks and motorcycles. New this year was a food drive with donations of non-perishable food items to benefit the Greater Berks Food Bank. This first time effort was deemed a success as three HEAVY boxes were filled with non-perishable food items. The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile was also on the grounds and ten donors passed through the doors of the bloodmobile.

Next year’s event is once again scheduled for the last weekend in September with the show slated for Saturday, Sept. 26 and a rain date of Sunday, Sept. 27th.
