RACC set to host celebration of Hispanic business and community leaders

Reading Area Community College will host a Celebration of Hispanic Entrepreneurs and Leaders in the Reading Community on 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 in the Gust Zogas Student Union Building. The College’s Multicultural Awareness Initiative and Multicultural/International Club are sponsoring the event.

The afternoon will include remarks from RACC President Dr. Anna D. Weitz and the following business and community leaders:

*Mike Toledo, Executive Director of Centro Hispano

*Rosa Julia Parra, CEO, Founder and Editor of El Palo magazine

*Johanny Cepeda, Owner Mi Casa Su Casa Restaurant

*Edna Garcia-Dipini, Founder and Executive Director of the RIZE program

*Danelle Bower, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Reading Area Community College

A traditional afternoon merienda, or snack, will follow the program.
