Kutztown Hot Dog Eating Contest benefits Animal Rescue League of Berks County

Potts’ U and Kutztown University’s Greek Life partner together to host a hot dog eating competition to raise funds for the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Inc.

The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. The competition will reveal which two-person relay team can eat the most hot dogs in five minutes. The top team will win $100 cash, hot dog trophies and bragging rights for an entire year.

Alpha Chi Rho will also be hosting an array of games and activities for the whole family, along with raffles and prizes.

“We are very excited to team up with a local business, especially one as great as Potts’. We’re hoping this can become a tradition for generations for years to come, and more importantly it all goes towards a great cause,” says Nicholas Whitelock Vice President and Fundraising Chair of Alpha Chi Rho. “Plus, we’ll find out who can eat the most hot dogs!”
