A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING THE STREETS SAFER FOR ALL THE TRICK OR TREATERS! The volunteer groups that were involved included the Fire Police, Grange, Jaycees, Leos, Lions, Moose, Rotary, and Southgate Neighborhood. The people that participated were Michael Adams, Bruce Barlip, Lia Burchey, Denise Clare, Cassidy Cordwell, Ron Corl, Randy Kepley, Kervin Kline, Wayne and MaryAnn Kline, Derek Leibensperger, Amy Lovins, Scott and Kathy Maberry, Chris Maenza, Ted Miller, Titus Miller, Keith Phillips, Brittany Sheidy, Chick Stewart, Patrick Suglia, Brian Warfel, and Vreeland and Linda Wood. Some of the people helped one night, but most helped both nights (Oct. 30 and 31). Also, the Southgate group handed out neon bracelets, VJ Wood Recovery, LLC positioned tow trucks at the neighborhood corners to encourage traffic to slow down, the Lions supplied neon flashlights and the Police supplied vests and stop signs to make it easier for drivers to see people crossing the streets, and the Bridge Church supplied hot dogs on the first night.
