Driver flips vehicle on Pricetown Road

ROCKLAND TWP, Nov. 14 – State Police Trooper Christopher Higdon responded to one-vehicle incident on Nov. 14 at 7:20 a.m. Driver Theodore Scaffidi, 46, and two passengers were traveling east on Pricetown Road in Scaffidi’s vehicle. The vehicle slid due to icy roads, turning counter clockwise and sliding into the westbound lane. The vehicle then flipped onto its right side and came to rest. The three occupants of the vehicle were uninjured. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.

Two-car crash at Blandon Road intersection

RUSCOMBMANOR TWP, Nov. 14 – State Police reported a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Nov. 14 at 11:54 a.m. Driver Elizabeth Szabo, 74, of Fleetwood was traveling north on Hartz Road, while driver Matthew Levan, 24, was traveling east on Blandon Road. Szabo left a parked position after stopping at a stop sign and struck Levan’s vehicle. No one was injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Unknown driver damaged front lawn

DISTRICT TWP, Nov. 15 – State Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. and Nov. 15 at 12 p.m. The unknown actor(s) drove through the victim’s front yard and left several tire marks, fleeing in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Reading at 610-378-4011.

Motorcycle crash on Baldy Hill Road

DISTRICT TWP, Nov. 9 – State Police reported a motorcycle crash that occurred on Nov. 9 at 3:55 p.m. The driver, Jennifer Koch, 34, of Lansdale was traveling on Baldy Hill Road with three other motorcyclists. Upon negotiating a right curve in the roadway, Koch lost control of the motorcycle. The front tire slid from under it, and the vehicle fell on its right side. Koch held onto the unit and was drug down the roadway, sustaining a moderate injury. Koch was transported to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital by Bally EMS.

Fencing destroyed in Treichler Road hit and run

DISTRICT TWP, Nov. 15 – State Police at Reading are investigating a hit and run incident that occurred on Nov. 15 at 12:01 a.m. The unknown driver was traveling north on Treichler Road and lost control, hitting a fence on the right side of the road. The driver did not stop. Approximately 100 feet of fencing was destroyed. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Clugston at PSP Reading.

Chain link fence stolen from Trout Nursery

HEIDELBERG TWP, Nov. 10 – State Police are investigating an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred on Nov. 10 at Trout Nursery on Furnace Street. The unknown actor(s) cut and stole the chain link fence around the facility. Investigation is pending.

Driver charged with DUIRUSCOMBMANOR TWP, Nov. 5 – Following a single vehicle crash on Nov. 5 at 4:13 a.m., Jerry Linn Geleff, Jr. has been charged for DUI and related summaries. The initial crash on Route 12 led to further investigation. Charges have been filed at District Court.
