A Boyertown man was arrested Monday, Nov. 22, after allegedly refusing to leave a woman’s home and resisting arrest.
Jorge Green, 39, of Boyertown has been charged after police responded to a disturbance on Isabella Street, according to court documents.
When police arrived, they were informed by the woman who made the complaint that Green had refused to leave her home. She told police that she had called from a neighbor’s house and had hoped that police would search her home and tell Green to leave. After police searched the house and did not find Green, the woman stated that she thought he may have been picked up by his mother. Police then advised the woman to call police if he came back.
Police were later called back to the home where they were told by the woman that Green had come back and crawled through the bedroom window because he did not have a key. The woman stated that she let it go for a few minutes until Green started drinking, became very angry and starting throwing things around the living room, police said. The woman then told him to leave but he refused. She then left the house and called again from a neighbor’s house. The woman was not injured and said that Green did not live at the house.
Police then saw Green running across the living room and after illuminating the house, entered through the garage door. The woman then told police she wanted him to leave. The officers announced their presence and asked Green to come out so that they could speak with him. Green emerged from the basement and into the kitchen where police determined he was intoxicated. Green would not cooperate with demands, according to police. As officers began to place handcuffs on Green, he allegedly pulled away as they attempted to put the cuffs on his second wrist. Police then assisted him in walking to the door and Green lunged at the woman and force was needed to take him to the ground, police said. Green then cooperated and walked toward the car. Once they arrived at the car, Green refused to get in and resisted officers’ attempts to put his feet in the car. Force was again used to overcome his resistance, according to court documents.
Once police got Green in the patrol vehicle they transported him to Borough Hall where he allegedly got out of the car and began to scream obscenities at the officers. One of the officers then gained control of him and escorted him inside. He again became belligerent and uncooperative once inside the building. Three or four officers had to use substantial force to subdue him, according to court documents.
Green was also charged earlier in the month with robbery, simple assault, theft, harassment, receiving stolen property and open container. In addition, he also faced charges in July of 2014 involving aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespassing, simple assault, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person. He is currently facing charges of defiant trespassing, resisting arrest and public drunkenness and similar misconduct.
He faced a preliminary arraignment Nov. 25 before District Judge Edward C. Kropp Sr. and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 4 again before District Judge Edward C. Kropp. He was unable to post the set $50,000 cash bail and is being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
