After a year of working on all the requirements needed, Girl Scout Junior Troop 11158 of Douglassville, Pa., earned their Girl Scout Bronze Award. This award requires the girls to learn about their community and choose a service project that will give them experience in serving people.

The girls of Troop 11158 realized that their community had families with children in need of something as simple as pajamas. Often when clothes are donated to the Children’s Closet in their area, pajamas are not a very common donation.

The girls held a Service Unit Event called the PajamaRama party. The entry fee per troop attending was a minimum of two pairs of new children’s pajamas. With close to 100 girls in attendance the pajama donation box filled quickly. The troop also set up donation boxes at each elementary school in their district.

The girls were happy to present the Children’s Closet with 78 new pairs of pajamas.
