Rodeo Marie Hanson, an 8-year-old girl from the Fleetwood area, got up close and personal with Hollywood’s A-List, at The World Premiere of Disney’s “Into The Woods.”
The star-studded event took place at the Ziegfeld Theater on Dec. 8, and included mega-celebrities like Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Sting.
Two local businesses served as “special helpers” and provided Hanson with some fairy-tale inspired assistance for her night in the Big Apple.
Fashionista Elaine Fioravanti of Best Dressed Ginger, shared her wardrobe advice and shopped at some high-end stores to find a red carpet worthy ensemble. Tania Anthony a stylist at Image Hair Studio in Kutztown, gave Rodeo a glamorous updo for the occasion.
Following the screening, Hanson and other guests were shuttled via bus (courtesy of Disney) to a ritzy after-party at the historic Edison Ballroom to celebrate with the stars of the film.
Rodeo Marie who is an actress, had an opportunity to meet Hollywood acting icon Meryl Streep, who wished the Fleetwood girl good luck in her acting endeavors.
Hanson who also reviews movies, was asked what she thought of the film by its director Rob Marshall.
Rodeo Marie mingled with cast members James Corden (The Baker), Billy Magnussen (Rapunzel’s Prince), and Christine Baranski (Cinderella’s Stepmother), and theater, television, and movie stalwart Judd Hirsch (“Taxi” and “Forever”) and actor/director Bob Balaban (“Close Encounters Of The Third Kind” and “Seinfeld”).
Rodeo’s Review:I really liked this movie. The thing that I liked most is the music and the songs. The witch was scary but I liked her. The wolf was neat too, especially the dance that he does… and the giant seemed for real, when she walked, and everything shook. Kids should see this movie!
I give this movie 4 out of 4 boxes of popcorn!
