The Pennsylvania State Police Troop L vice unit with assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police SERT team served a search warrant the morning Thursday, Jan. 8 at 6 a.m. The location was 713 Neversink Alley (Reading City Berks County).
Items seized during the search were 536 packets of heroin with a street value of over $5,000.00, $300.00 cash, packaging material, digital scale, and a 25 caliber pistol with an obliterated serial number.
Edwin Crespo, 24, and his mother Jeannette Quintero, 41, were both arrested and are currently awaiting arraignment on charges of possession with intent to deliver (PWI), and weapons offenses. Both Crespo and Quintero reside at the search location.
This was a month’s long investigation that culminated in the search warrant being served today.
