Descendants of the 1908 Rhoads Opera House Fire victims gathered with members of the Boyertown Area Historical Society at Fairview Cemetery on Sunday, Jan. 18, to remember and commemorate the tragic event.
Margaret Harner of the historical society provided a brief history of the fire and Reverend Daniel R. Burris of St. John’s Lutheran church provided the closing prayer.
The community was invited to meet at cemetery on West Philadelphia Ave. to take part in placing a wreath on the graves of the 25 unidentified victims.
